Smoked Trout & Salmon with Horseradish Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
Trout: 4 fillets
Salmon fillet 1lb
1 egg
4oz of Cream Cheese
1/3 cup fresh Cream
2 teaspoons of Lemon Juice
For Horsedish Sauce
1/3 cup whipped cream
1/3 cup of Horsedish sauce
2t finely cut chives
1/3 cup of mayonnaise sauce
Sliced cucumber
Methods of Preparation
Put the trout filets and salmon in the smoker and smoke for 20 minutes. Blend half the salmon, cream cheese, lemon juice and egg for 5 minutes. Mix the fresh cream to the blended mixture and season to taste. Grease the ramekin or soufflé dishes and put the blended mixture into it, cover them with foil. Fill the baking tray half with boiling water and place the dishes in it. Bake it for 30 minutes at 400 F or until it is firm.
Now heat the ingredients for preparing Horsedish sauce in a pan except chives. Remove the foil and place it on the plate covered with the slices of cucumber and top with flakes of smoked trout and salmon. Spread it over with the Horsedish sauce and chives.
