SMOKED SALMON

With electric smokers you can prepare some of the best, mouth watering recipes and enjoy the Spicy delightful delicacies, with your family.

Smoked Salmon

Kentucky Bourbon Smoked Salmon

Ingredients:-

For preparing this recipe you need to have

Salmon, 2 full size fillets
1 cup Dark Brown Sugar
2 cups of kosher salt
1 cup Granulated Sugar
¼ cup Dill Weed Dried
1 tbs garlic granules
1 Cup Kentucky Bourbon for Bourbon Glaze
½ cup of broken black pepper

Direction

Cover up a large stainless steel or plastic pan with a plastic wrap. Take all the ingredients except the salmon filets and mix it together. Spray 1/3 of the spice mixture on the plastic wrapped pan. Place the salmon on the sprinkled mixture, skin side down. Now cover the filet with the half of the remaining spice mixture. Keeps the second filet on the top of the first keeping, the skin side up and spray the remaining spice mixture over it. Cover up this spiced up filets with a plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator for next 18 to 24 hours.

Remove the filets from the refrigerator and un-wrap them. Remove the spice mixture if little remains, will do. Place it on a layer of paper towels and let it dry at room temperature for two hours. Start the smoker and get it to 160 degrees. Put the salmon in the smoker for 4-6 hours at the temperature of 160 degrees. Switch off the smoker and prepare bourbon glaze. Apply the glaze on the filets and keep it for 30 minutes. Remove from the smoker and again apply the glaze.
